Fall 2011: Carven

4 Nov

This Carven collection wasn’t as absurdly unique as some have been in the past — no Eiffel towers on unusually cut mini-dresses this time, it was much more typical but still true to the unique. The colored lace dress — which is EVERYWHERE this season — was done over another dress in a way that I really liked. The lion sweater was fabulous — hands down my favorite piece. It has so much life to it and is a very McQueen style in my mind, despite being a cropped knit. The last dress which is disheveled and wrapped over itself time and time again is really nice. Rather than creating a sloppy aura — which it ran the risk of doing, it creates something quite beautiful.
