Spring 2012: Donna Karan

16 Feb

Donna Karan started off as usual — tribal and neutral, but she thread a new string throughout the collection which was a magnificent change. It may be tribal but there was such color, vibrancy and life to it. The aztec patterns and the purple windbreaker were a weird combination but worked in one of those funky, outside the box ways that I wasn’t aware Karan knew how to do. The combination between mesh and body-con, the structure of the dress and the fabulous, sexy slits. Karan has this way of working a natural theme through her collections. This was my favorite Karan collection that I can remember — without a doubt.
